The Law of Attraction
A very simple definition of the Law of Attraction by 21st century new thought thinkers is that you attract into your life what ever you think about.
This concept in the last couple of years became very popular in the movie and book called The Secret. Prior Esther and Jerry Hicks had a New York Times best seller covering the subject and in 2007 Oprah Winfrey did a series of shows covering The Law of Attraction.
So is it true?
Can you attract things into your life with your thoughts?
This week Coach Devlyn Steele on the Daily Podcast will take a deeper look into the Law of Attraction.
The question of the week is:
Dear MembersBuilding a community is sharing ideas and thoughts. When we come together and voice our thoughts, we all learn from each other. We learn that we are not alone; we learn new ideas that might be helpful to our lives. Being part of community helps us all.
Share your thoughts week-to-week. You can answer the question directly or comment on answers other members leave.
hello everyone!I do believe in a power of thoughts about the Law of Attraction. It`s all from inside ,it depens what do you think about yourself.when i am confident, then all the people stares at me and like to talk to me.well there is so much to talk
Yes, it works! I wrote a list of small things I needed and let the Universe take care of the rest.
One of the things I needed was hand towels and wash rags. My sister and her friend came over for a weekend to see the Lavender Festival. They left for a few hours by themselves after breakfast and came back. As a parting gift without me telling them about it, they gave me 4 of each. It made me cry and I thanked them and the Universe.
It works if you think positive and put it in the hands of the Universe. Continue to help others and it comes back to you as well.
Ya, lower gas prices..........
.........come on everyone.......................
I was first introduced to this concept about 10 months ago from my friend Randy. (thank you Randy)
I think this is an amazing concept and sssssoooooo true. This is something I am working on everyday to retrain my thoughts to be who and what I really am. And where I want to be is not where I am today, so this concept has really opened doors for me to work on where I am going!
If anyone cares to hear how I apply this concept....
Hear are some things that I do to help myself. Maybe they can help you too!
I have positive quotes posted all over my wall above my desk.
these help me put these positive thoughts in my brain
I also have a collection of pictures that are in a slideshow on my PC. these pics are of things I want to accomplish within myself and material items that I want to purchase .
This might seem silly but it really works!
I have used LoA for decades, it is not something new. My father taught it to me when I was 11 years old. I have applied it throughout my life and have been successful, blessed, even.
However, about 5 years ago, my 'positive thinking' seemed to stop working. I have actively worked on it, re-tooling my approach to include forgiveness. This is suggested by Connie Domino in her book, "Develop Irresistible Attraction", and also used in O'oponopono, the Hawaiian practice of forgiveness.
I THOUGHT I knew how to do LoA, clearly define my goals, review them often, never worry about them, work to make them happen, forgive anyone. But (and I hate to type this) it does not seem to be working. I am still looking for work, I've had temp jobs, but things are moving very slowly toward a full time permanent job. My marriage hit the skids last year, too, the only reason I can see is because I'm no longer a 'cash cow' for my husband to rely on. I also do EFT (look into it if you don't know what it is, or see my Group here about it), to supplement my LoA. I can't understand why something I've done for 46 years no longer has an impact.
